1/7/13 Team Meeting
Attending:
Morna Findlay, Alain Forrester, Martin Morrey, Peter Jackson, Richard Good, Riky Harris
Supplier contact
1. Martin updated the team noting that he had not yet received a counter-proposal from Adaptivist ( in which they would migrate all our wiki spaces to the cloud).
Project Risks
Simon has sough assurance that project risks were being properly identified and managed.
Morna reported that she, Richard and Peter had met with Mark Ritchie in order to assess current risks to the project. The upshot is that Morna will add some more risks to the project web site and will assign these appropirately. The project estimate had also been reduced after discussions with Peter and Richard on how work already carried out could be used to reduce the worst-case estimates for some tasks.
Morna also reported that she and Martin ahd met with Stewart in order to look at the risks in the change-management side of the project. They had identified that a different set of users needed to be recruited to the user group. Alan will email the wiki space-owners list inviting wiki owners to volunteer for the user group.
The user group meeting next week will go ahead as it can be used to demonstrate 5.1 to users and to plan how user communication and engagement should be managed over the summer.
Ongoing project work
connectors
. Richard asked if the DEV team could be authorised to work on the IDM and LEarn connectors as they had availability this week. Morna stated that she was not able to authorise any further IS applications work on the project until approved by Simon or Stuart.
DEV rollback and migration
Service management need to check that DEV now "looks like" LIVE so that this work can be signed off.
Performance risk planning
.Morna asked Martin to provide benchmarking information which we can use to guage wiki performance. Peter suggested we need:
Benchmarking
- lareg pages with many revisions
- representative pages - no pages without weird plugins or weird anything else
- suggested that techman have a backup checklist page which might be the sort of page we need to use
Load testing
- need a page which we can keep adding content to so we can load test updates
- need to check common operations ( edits rather than comments)
- need some criteria - eg "X percent of pges will load within Y seconds", "during busiest period wiki gets Z requests per hour/minute"
ACTIONS 1/7/13
- Morna to seek authorisation for 4 days DEV team effort on connectors from Simon.
