Transfer to BAU Brief
Transfer to BAU
Scope
- An exercise to review the end to end service structure currently in place across the full scope of the lecture recording implementation to ensure completeness. This can include the handover of any significant data quality issues observed during the implementation of the automatic scheduling application Replay Scheduler.
- The Student Helpers initiative to be handed over to service in time for the start of the 19/20 academic year. It is anticipated that this will be operated by the Learning Spaces Technology team. There is also scope to support Timetabling should they wish to progress their own Student Helpers initiative.
- Any support required for programme initiatives such as the MLE006 Benefits Realisation project.
Objectives and Deliverables
O1
Bring the appropriate service and user stakeholders together to review how the service is supported.
D1.1
Continue our work with stakeholders and users with a series of workshops to ensure there are no gaps that can be catered for in the service provided. (M)
D1.2
Implement any recommendations from these workshops after approval by the Steering Group. (M)
O2
To transfer the Student Helpers initiative into service for the start of the academic year 19/20. This has previously been managed by the project manager.
D1.1
Student Helpers plan to be adapted so it is suitable for personnel within Learning Spaces Technology. This will include enhancements to the role of Student Helpers and a continuation of our dedicated ‘helpline’ for helper use only. (M)
D1.2
Although it was not previously possible we may be able to link our helper initiative with helper initiatives across the Library or Timetabling. Note that HR had previously recommended against this joint recruitment proposal last year. (HD)
