Reporting

Scope

• An examination to establish the key reporting needs with regards to Lecture Recording and the Replay Scheduler application from both service and LTW wide perspective
• Detailed evaluation of the data available within Media Hopper Replay and the Replay SD database.  This will require Echo360 support.
• Facilitating the requests where possible from the programme, the ISG leadership team and university committee.
• Further assessment will be required to determine the mid to long term technical strategy for delivering BI reporting.  We currently use Power BI.

Objectives and Deliverables

O1         

Building on our work we will find consensus on additional reports required, additional data points needed and the audience for those reports.  We will continue our progress on the recommendations of Applications Service Management.

D1.1      

We produced an ‘end of academic year’ report on lecture recording in the summer of 2018.  We will do this again in summer 2019 using the Power BI platform. (M)

D1.2      

To facilitate this data from Echo360 in the form of the Section and Asset reports will be linked into our current ‘Opt Out’ and scheduling reporting.  Echo360 deliver these to us in CSV file form. (M)

D1.3      

LTW have data sets available to us through direct extracts from the Learn and Moodle system. We may use them clarify some of our reporting context as currently access to Media Hopper Replay is controlled via manual links from Learn and Moodle. (HD)

D1.4      

The level to which data is provided (i.e. school, course and college) and the audience for each report will be recommended by the Steering Group and Approved by the Programme Board.  This process will continue within MLE005. (M)
