Priority and Funding

This is a priority 2, funded project. This project has 120 days of funding which has to be billed to the USG portfolio, not HR. The USG portfolio has said a further 20% contingency can be called on if required. Director's Office are aware of these arrangements

Background

Why is an HR Transformation programme needed?

Priority and Funding

This project has no HARD milestones but it is the highest priority non-compliance work for the HRS programme. The University will need to upgrade or replace Oracle HR & Payroll by Dec 19 and if the HR Transformation work does not start now, there may not be enough time before Dec 19 to complete Business Change ahead of a necessary technical change. This would be highly undesirable and it is already widely acknowledged that the University needs to move from its current HR & Payroll business processes to Best Practice industry standard processes.

Project Management

The TEL019 project will be managed by Ross Ward, with additional supervision from Wilma Alexander to ensure that the TEL017 and 019 projects can benefit from the similarities. The work undertaken will be to organise meeting with key partners and establish a clear communication channel between those involved and for dissemination of project deliverables.

Following on from the TEL009 investigation into analytics a further pilot of analytics in Learn and Moodle has been initiated. The TEL019 and the TEL017 have similar overarching aims to deliver access to high quality and understandable analytics directly to students in the context of their courses.
