The scope of this project is to implement the REF 2021 data requirements which were agreed as part of RIS008 REF2021 Data Requirements Analysis
The requirements which were the recommended option from the output of RIS008 Options Paper
This scope is focussed on data needs that relate directly to academic staff; research grants; and other aspects of the submission that are dependent on data derived from staff or meta-data about academic staff or grants in order to identify the data for submission.
Multiple loan services exist for audio visual kit. This project will report on these and examine whether consolidation of these services would be beneficial for users.
The rollout of remote support across centrally managed teaching spaces.
The survey, installation and operation agreements that would allow specialist spaces across the campus to be supported centrally.
The University of Edinburgh centrally managed teaching estate is one of the largest and most complex in the UK, at over 400 spaces and growing. Daily visits and or checks of spaces are undertaken by Estates servitorial staff, concentrating primarily on high traffic areas. In order to provide a more consistent service across such a wide estate, we will deploy and co-ordinate a modified Student Helper system.
