Project Meeting 4 - 23-Jan-14

Attendees: John K, Anne F, Jeff B,  Ewan, Anne M CC: Sigita R, Tim C, Craig, Nikki, Heather

  • Thurs 16th - Tim has just started the testing and it is going okay.  Access has been fine and he carried on ntil our catch up this afternoon.  Tim brought a copy of the results so far and will email themwhen he has completed them. Tim finished his testing on Friday 17th.
  •  The majority of tests have completed successfully so far
    • The majority are niggles that have not been fixed, but ther are not show stoppers, they have been documented 23-Jan  and passed on to SciQuest mentioning that we will still want them sorted in the future
    • The issue with the bespoke reports (which have also been replicated in ERM) will be checked out in LIVE. The last time tey were tun was August 13, so not a show stopper
      • - There seems to be an issue with the bespoke reports. Tim can't seem to get these reports to produce results in TEST and Tim would prefer to use LIVE to finish off his testing.  At present they are not highly used so will not cause major problems.
    • Jeff ran the other Bespoke report and it is fine.
  • Jeff and Craig will check out ERM on a MAC.
  • Down time ideally  Alert been submitted.
    • 12 noon on Tuesday 28th Jan Outage until Wednesday 29th Jan
    • 12 noon on Wednesday 29th Jan At Risk  until 5pm
  • Ewan will start prep for downtime on the morning of the 28th. Ready to Start at 2pm with Mike at SciQuest. Ensuring that a Live Bkup will be available if required.
  • Tim and Jeff will get users to stop at 11am to allow time for orders to update SciQuest before 12 noon.
  • Anne M has verified with Dev Tech that Ewan is booked for the Ops Doc, Tech Man (Handover TAD and Ops Doc) and also that Apps Supp (Deployment Checklist) have the documents they need. - done
  • There is an JAVA issue when ERM uses JAVA 7 Update 51. This will be documented in the project documentation. However ERM works on JAVA 6 and 7 and is currently on JAVA 6 Update 45 so JAVA 7 Update 45 is not an  imminent issue. Ewan and Anne F adding into the required document
  • Anne F passing Ewan some updates for the TAD on the 24th.
  • Ewan to set up the Implementation Project Plan .
  • Anne F asked who would remove the old admin client versions  - Jeff has said he does this and will take care of it after the Go Live

ERM Test Log

Craig cannot attend, but has sent an email reply. - ' Based on the test results from Tim and discussion with Jeff, I'm happy to sign off that we proceed to go-live next week. . I have attached a copy of Tim's test results spreadsheet, with a column added to show my comments. While there are issues that we should raise with SciQuest, many of them are extant from the original implementation. That doesn't mean we shouldn't continue to pursue them, but they can't be considered showstoppers for go-live. . With regard to the specific issue that Anne F has queried, I believe that we have been discussing this with SciQuest support, and they have given us a solution (ie instructions on how to amend the data). This is a manual task (possibly a large one). Jeff can give further information if required. I don't think it's an issue that should stop the go-live. . The main thing that concerns me for go-live is the structure search/ChemDraw issue. I think this should be addressed with some instructions on how to configure both test and live to work. SciQuest should be able to provide this information for us to work through in preparation for go-live. Regardless, it's not a showstopper, either. . We need to put together an issues list to send to SciQuest, which should be a summary of the issues on Tim's list. I think we should expect responses (not necessarily solutions in all cases) before the go-live. . I don't really have any availability tomorrow to work on the issues list. I would be happy for you to put it together with help from Tim and Jeff, as it would be useful to get it to SciQuest as soon as possible. Many thanks. Craig ' This was done and Chemistry received the answers to what it required.
