New Database Infrastructure Now Live |
A new database infrastructure for the University's central systems, developed by IS Applications and IS IT Infrastructure, is now available. Initial testing with Estates and Buildings (EBIS) and SOA databases is nearing completion and databases for our other systems will be migrated over the next 18 months. |

- IS Applications staff, Desktop Services and Estates & Buildings contacted about these options
- No agreement by end of week; options still being considered

- PICCLs covering estimate, milestones and Archibuss issue okayed by WIS
- Project handed over to cover PM
- Discussions continued with Desktop Services about Archibus client - suggested that earliest available date would be late September
- Deployment of EBIS LIVE (planned for 15/07) postponed
- PICCL to advise of difficulty round new deployment noted by WIS
- Meeting with DTS to discuss Archibus arranged for 19/07
- Patching policy meeting held - PM to write up notes and prepare wiki page
