This project is to cover the move of the SBMS Honours Project Portal http://honsprojects.bms.ed.ac.uk/ from its existing development framework to a centralised version.
The http://honsprojects.bms.ed.ac.uk/ was developed in 2012 at the request of SBMS. The project was dealt with inhouse by the then SBMS Support Team. The first version of the service was a ground up sequential development in PHP and run off a locally managed server. in 2014 the software was move to a centrally managed CHOST server and redeveloped from the ground up in a PHP Framework - Codeignitor.
In 2015 & 2016 it was agreed to continue the inhouse management and support of the service until a suitable procedure was in place to help move this to a project that could be integrated in to the CMV programme.
The purpose of this project is to facilitate the move of this service to a centralised team for ongoing development and support.
