Overview
Background
Over the past few years, the MyEd team has focused on completing the User-Centred Portal programme of work under Digital Transformation. The primary deliverables from this work have been:
- A new technical platform for MyEd, using a combination of uPortal and React
- Review of MyEd content
- Research and development of a new interface targeted at students
This project will focus on continuous improvements to the new interface and platform. This project will also align with ongoing work being done on Core Systems and Service Excellence.
Scope
This agile project will seek to address as many as possible of the following main areas of functionality:
- Technical work required to maintain the operation of MyEd or for legal compliance
- Alignment to priority strategic work being done in other programmes
- Small continuous improvements to the presentation of MyEd and bug fixes
Out of scope
- Alignment to work that is not considered a strategic priority
- New content requiring development resourced

Technical analysis must be done to assess the risks and benefits of upgrading the uPortal and React frameworks. Based on this analysis, the project will then determine whether upgrades are necessary for next year.

- MyEd will continue to respond to user requirements, building on the improved experience we delivered in the previous project

Success Criteria

- Improvements for MyEd are made based on user research which result in positive feedback and an overall increase in user satisfaction
- Required maintenance and compliance work for MyEd is completed
