The Environment (Final)

A line in the sand has been drawn with the design of our environment (attached).  Information on a method of deriving information from Unidesk was made known to the project on the 6th of October.  This method was to extract a CSV file from the SQL and upload it to the reporting environment.  It is unfortunate that this information could only be considered by the project team at this point and not earlier. 

A meeting was called for the 08th of October.  Attended by John G, Iain Fiddes, Geir Granum, Rob Manley, Ryan Stewart, Andrew Gleeson, Colin Forrest.  At this meeting we finalised the server design.  The CSV files will circumvent our critical issue of taking the information between SQL and Oracle.

There are other ways to go forward such as using SQL for the entire system, but with the resources/skills available to the project and our limited remaining resources this was deemed the most suitable design.
