Dev Build Review
Review Checks from Apps Management/Tech Management
Tested by John Chan
- Checking I can log into the system.
- Confirmed I can log in using FF or Chrome.
- Checking I can create a user.
- Managed to create an operator and get that person to log in
- Checking I can create, assign and close off incidents/problems.
- I130315-0001. Managed to create incident/problems calls and link incidents to problem and close off calls.
- Checking search functionality works
- Managed to search for Incidents
Managed to search for Callers
Managed to search for emails in the 'Find email' pop up. I noticed there was a slight delay in retrieval which was encountered in Live. Indexes had to be applied in Live. For the build review this is fine.
- Checking Database links to IDM and the Telephone Database were working by running the import job.
- Ran the EdinburgUniFeed. This completed successfully. This was expected as it is run against another database
- Checking the import scripts.
- Checked the import logs from within Unidesk and confirm they have been running in DEV nightly.
- Checking I can log off.
- Confirmed that I could log off. I did notice that when you try to log back in again by entering Username/Password then you get 'invalid login'. You can only log in again when you enter nothing and click [Login].
- Checking I can export log files from within Unidesk.
- Managed to download the logfiles.
- Checking the error logs are getting updated on the application server.
- logs were being updated on the application server ok.
- Generally making sure the dev build works with nothing unusual happening.
- Clicked on the various tabs and buttons and everything looks fine with the build.
Review Checks from Service Management

For DEV, this is the level of access I would expect to see:
- Access service via Shibboleth as Operator
- Access self service via Shibboleth as end user
- Creation of new records possible
- Saving changes possible
- Access to Settings Management via Java client
- Check that POST events are working (general)
- Check that email events are working (general)
- No strikingly obvious faults, but no specific functional testing.
At the moment DEV is OK on all these counts.

- checked the administrative interfaces via the Settings Management client and via the web interface.
- I can confirm that these can be run, read and written, so as far as I'm concerned DEV works technically.
Review Checks from DevTech
- All of the other criteria are complete and signed off; OR
- that agreement has been reached that the item can be signed off with some constraints.
