New SITS/Finance Student History Feed |
A new feed has been developed for Finance to allow them to view a full history of students' programmes of study via Business Objects. This helps them to deal with students invoice queries more effectively.
This latest go-live is the final stage of the FIN080 project, which has delivered a number of improvements to the SITS/Finance interfaces to enhance Finance's ability to administer student fees.

- The issue with SSP access to the new EUGEX views was resolved on Monday by applying a grant script to the live environment
- Deployment review meeting held. Consensus agreement to sign-off the deployment and proceed to close the prject. The group also discussed key lessons learned for inclusion in the completion report

- Difficulties securing Dev Tech resource to install the fix for SACS permissions issue on Live. Resource finally secured for next week. Resource also secured to complete the outstanding Jira for tifying up Dev/Test to accurately reflect Live.
- BOXI Universe details handed over to the BI Support Team.
- We still hope to go ahead with the sign-off meeting next week, assuming that the permissions issue is resolved on Monday

- Go-live of the historic feed took place on Tuesday 11th. This is the last deliverable of the project and after deployment sign-off in 2 weeks time the project will move to closure phase.
- SACS reported post-go-live that they couldn't see the new feed. This is thought to be a permissions issue and a Jira has been raised with Dev Tech.

- Phase 2 part 1 go-live went ahead as planned on Tuesday (14th). The go-live went smoothly and Apps Management and Finance have confirmed that data was being correctly interfaced.
- A new Jira has been raised for missing 'domicile descriptions' but Finance have agreed that the fix for this can go live with part 2 next month.
- Work is ongoing on the fixes for part 2

- SACS have detected a discrepency in the historical feed data so the go-live planned for this week has been cancelled
- Meeting held with SACS and key IS Apps stakeholders to look at options for progressing the project
- Agreement reached to split phase 2 into two seperate elements: the debt chasing data and the historic feed. Each will go-live seperately.
- New go-live dates agreed for Jan and Feb 2014

- Apps Management has been resourced to undertake integration testing this week. Details of what needs to be tested have been discussed.
- Finance have been reminded of the UAT that they're planned to undertake next week

- Ongoing issue with the inclusion of detailed student applicant data (high level info is ok). A potential solution has been identified but this will incur an additional week of development. PM to speak to Finance to clarify the business requirement as this level of detail may not be a priority.
- Whilst we wait for a decision the developer will remove the latest patch which attempted to insert this detailed information as it has worsened the situation.
