Background

The current Oracle database infrastructure has reached an age where it is no longer satisfying the demands made of it. This is constraining Applications Division’s ability to offer the best services to the University and in some cases performance has been badly impacted. Support for the current infrastructure will become an issue after the end of service life is reached in April 2014
