Background

Questionmark Perception (QMP) is a fully featured online assessment system which has been in use at the University since around 2001. The current version (v5.2) of the system was delivered in 2010.

The system is used for both formative, and high stakes summative assessment, and around 140,000 student assessment are taken on the system every year.

Project brief was updated on 20/07/15 to reflect changes in the project (previous version).

Background

The College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine has not had a web strategy or management plan in place and consequently both the CMVM website as a whole, and wider web estate lack clarity, accuracy, and coherence.  There are requirements within CMVM for website development, but currently no resource available to advise and facilitate this. Consequently, many websites are hosted externally; often tied into costly contracts, not meeting accessibility and security requirements - and in some cases potentially causing reputational damage to the University.

Priority and Funding

Project is of priority 2 and 15d of IS Apps have been allocated.

Impact and Dependencies

No impact on other projects. But it is is required for starting the follow up implementation projects.

Dependencies:

-the three CF6 applications for SDS (PACHA, SAAT, SOFA) are not planned to be upgraded this year and currently are not supported by IS Apps, they are supported by Technical Lead in SDS. They are old and at risk.
