29/07/14 Conference call with ABS

Meeting date - 29/07/14

Attendees - Douglas Stewart, Garry Robertson, Dawn Nicholls, Stefan Kaempf, Phil Barnett (ABS), Mike Lewis (ABS), Kevin Burgess (ABS)

Purpose - to discuss security patching options for PSN Compliance

There are 3 options available: -

1. V4.1 patch for JRE compliance. Mostly affects Oracle Forms. Does not require recompilation of eFinancials code so only minimal testing
2. V4.2 upgrade. Includes JRE compliance. No notable additional functionality but would require full testing of eFinancials.
3. V5 upgrade. Not available for 12 months (i.e. late 2015)

An ABS consultant would come on site for 3 days to work alongside IS Applications to upgrade Dev environment to V4.1. A decision could then be made on whether ABS required for Test & Live, or whether IS Applications happy to do this alone. Go-live would most likely require 1 day's outage. 

ABS consultant pencilled in for 18th/19th/20th August. Go-live would most likely be at the end of September due to financial year end in August.

Douglas, Garry, Dawn and Stefan to meet to agree best way forward.

• ABS to advise which applications need to be upgraded to be JRE compliant
• Dawn to arrange a follow-up meeting to discuss plans
