The current version of the Oracle POLO DEV, TEST and LIVE databases is version 10 and is Support ran out in July 2013. The three POLO databases should be upgraded to lower the cost to the University, to mitigate security issues and to enable the business owner to take advantage of new features. The POLO Oracle 10 databases (in DEV, TEST and LIVE) will therefore be upgraded to Oracle 11g. This version is compatible with Polopoly version 10 which will be upgraded prior to this project as project UWP007. Accordingly, the database upgrade is not expected to affect current functionality or performance of either the editing and updating of web pages.
