Impact
Priority and Funding
This will be a priority 2 project.
It is estimated to be 92d in total, split as follows:
| Core Funded (d) | Sponsor Funded (d) | Total (d) | |
| 14/15 | 40 | 29 | 69 |
| 15/16 | 23 | 0 | 23 |
| 63 | 29 | 92 |
Note: of the above 12d of Sponsor Funded work has already been transferred from STU246 and so a difference of 17d (£4,590) is expected.
Note: Current plan: 23d in 15/16 will be taken from the planned project CAM - Enhancements to UG & PG Degree Finder. However the project sponsor has initiated that he would be prepared to sponsor the work in 14/15 should IS resources be available. PM will look at whether this is possible.
Impact and Dependencies
The online prospectuses are business-critical services. They represent the core recruitment activity of the University, with c. 21 million visits in the last year. Ninety-six per cent of prospective students look at the university website for information on their preferred degree. For many applicants this is their first impression of the University; it is a crucial part of our interaction with students.
This project will not impact other projects, however UWP010 is dependent on this project completing for the migration of sites to EdWeb. There is also demand for the same Software Developer from STU236, CSG005 and TTU007. This project has been planned around current known availability for the Software Developer as of mid-May 2015.
There is not expected to be an impact on support, other than that no support calls to amend functionality can be undertaken while this project is in progress. This is agreed with Production Management.
