Review of Scope Changes

PM reviewed the project issues with Bryan, Stuart and Alex and the governance recommendation is as follows

Holding Tables and Import

1) The decision to descope the Software Table from the process is not accepted as it seems an unnecessary risk to take, given that we and TOPdesk had budgeted for this work.

I therefore have asked Remco to provide a Holding Table Design and subsequent Build and Import, I guess treating the Software table as 'default' as per the other tables.

Tree Walk

It was appreciated that this is not a big issue for St  Andrews and Abertay, and appreciated their support for funding development.

However, it seemed that we should ascertain how effective the Tree Walk graphical overview would be before committing 3-4 more days to developing bespoke work.

2) Remco will use the cancelled training day to produce a proof of concept regarding the visual representation of the Tree Walk.

3) If this looks good to the team, then we can propose formally to the project board that we go ahead and request three (four?) more days effort from Remco to work on the data side.

4) I have asked Remco when he could have a POC with us.

Person Import Improvement

This was supported, but with a cost of two more days, we should confirm how much of an improvement this is going to make.

5) I have asked Remco/Guy for a good estimate of the expected performance improvement. Either as a percentage or elapsed time the Imports take, the minutes you could shave off the elapsed time. E.g. a three hour import would become one hour, one hour becomes 10 mins.

On-Site for Remco

6) If tree walk and/or person import are approved then no problem about Remco coming on-site for three days.

7) *** Could everyone let me know of their available 13-15/11 and also  w/c 18/11 please. *** Louise is going to find days other than 13/11 difficult. It may be we shuffle so that Lousie is here for the imports but can miss out the Person Import and Tree Walk . Kevin may be ok with this too.
