Impact and Dependencies

The HR & Payroll Application and database is required to be patched annually to deliver the statutory Tax Year End patches. In addition, this year, the compliance changes for Pension Re-enrolment and for End of Contracting out for National Insurance must be LIVE by February and the start of the tax year respectively. In a normal year, the pre-requisite patches would be applied through DEV, TEST and LIVE from November with the Tax Year End patches being progressed through February, however this year the Pre-requisite patches; RUP8 and Re-enrolment, will be planned for October 15. With the additional patches for 15/16 and the application migration work a different approach is being considered.

Depending on how each project progresses the migration of the Oracle HR & Payroll application may also impact the following work during the periods when each environment is unavailable for migration or while testing is underway;

  • PPP002 - Online Payslips and P60s (deliverables - email/UUN changes, eRecruitment Interface updates and Pay30)
  • RES058 - Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing & Go Live - (deliverable - HR Data Feed)
  • RES060 – PGR feed to PURE (deliverable - HR feed to PURE)
  • Implementation of Retrospective calculations (HR & Payroll project - non IS Apps, planned for Nov)
  • PPP004 Migrate Oracle HR Payroll & Pensions Application
  • PPP006 Changes to USS Pension Scheme
  • PPP007 Annual Maintenance 15/16 (inc End of Contracting out and Re-enrolement)
  • AP56-049 Enhancing Employment Technical Implementation
  • HRS089 eRecruitment Upgrade
