Project Brief
This project will progress the work required to ensure the University meets its legislative obligations for applying any Tax, pension auto-enrolment or other annual compliance updates for Oracle HR & Payroll. This is a standard recurring event (although not multi-year) to meet HM Revenue & Customs requirements. There is a significant IS and user input, to ensure the HRMS application has been updated to the appropriate legislative status, and to complete the actual Tax Year End.
In addition, Oracle usually stipulate that the appropriate Family Pack must be applied before Legislative Patches. The Family Pack (and any pre-requisite patches) are normally applied around Christmas before the legislative patches are progressed by Mid March. This is required in order to remain supported by Oracle.
For 13/14 the Oracle HR & Payroll database is to be moved to the new database infrastructure. This work will be progressed by a seperate project (Project Code TBC) after the Tax Year End delivery has been met. A review has been undertaken to recommend that the migration will be delayed to start March/April 2014.
