Overview
Background
To enable the Occupational Health Service to enhance the service provided throughout the University, they have identified the requirement to upgrade to the latest version of the Occupational Health System eOPAS. This will allow the implementation of additional functionality that has become available in subsequent releases such as
- A new secure online portal to manage communications between staff and the Occupational Health Service
- The opportunity to take advantage of new functionality associated with;
- GDPR related changes
- Full integration with the Spirometry system, that will enable improved quality of information to be imported into eOPAS
- New txt messaging facility to assist with appointment reminders
Scope
- Upgrade to eOPAS version 6.1
- Ensure existing system interfaces with Spirometry , HR and CHPS continue to function as business as usual
- Provide the technical platform for the user self-service portal and integrate with EASE single sign-on
- Integrate with the MJog automated appointment reminder system (for txt messaging)
- Incorporate planned calibration upgrades and software update to the spirometers

- Roll out of user self-service portal across the University

Benefits
- Enhancing the user experience by delivering
- A secure web-based e-Portal through which all communications and documentation can be manged that will replace the current email based process
- Improvement to the health data captured via the Spirometry system related data
- Implementation of a new sms txt messaging facility to remind their 'customers' of future appointments
- Prove the platform to deliver efficiencies within Occupational Health through
- Streamlining of the service offered via the new e-Portal and so reducing administration overhead
