Planning

Approval by Project Manager, Project Sponsor and IS Applications Management Team

Prepare brief / plans and submit to WIS

Create Request for Change for the project.

System Analysis & Design

Peer Project Design Review (PPDR)

Review existing TAD for EBIS

Update as necessary, or prepare from template if none is available.

Peer Project Build Review (PPBR)

Set up CF11 DEV, TEST and LIVE environments.

Check synchronisation of EBIS On-line across environments with SVN.

Back-up any existing EBIS on-line code changes in CF9 DEV, TEST environments.  

Copy EBIS On-line production code to CF11 DEV, and amend as necessary.

Ensure CF11 DEV environment is functioning correctly.

Test and fix EBIS On-line in CF11 DEV

Peer Testing

Integration

Peer Project Integration Review (PPIR)

Migrate EBIS On-line to CF11 TEST

Ensure CF11 TEST environment is functioning correctly.

Check EBIS On-line and access to data

Update build document and build record, CMDB update

Acceptance

Conduct UAT on CF11 EBIS On-line.

Reports back any issues, agree appropriate remediation strategy, execute and test fixes in CF11 DEV as necessary, followed by re-deployment into CF11 TEST.

Production Management to create Deployment Checklist.

Deployment

Deployment Sign-Off Review (DSOR)

Create service alert 2 weeks prior to deployment to LIVE

Migrate EBIS On-line to CF11 LIVE on or before specified date.

Change load balancers to point to new CF11 LIVE

Confirmation of successful deployment by business users.

Deployment sign off

Restore any saved EBIS On-line code changes into CF11 DEV ansd CF11 TEST environments.    

Closure

Closure Review and Approval by Project Manager, Project Sponsor and IS Applications Management Team

De-commission EBIS On-line in CF9 DEV, TESt and LIVE environemnts.  

Closure report and submit to WIS
