Priority and Funding
This is a normal priority project, funded as part of the BI Tools programme, within the Digital Transformation initiative.
The initial estimates are as follows:
The project budget will therefore be confirmed during detailed planning. Actual delivery is expected to occur in 2018/19.
The BI Tools Programme currently makes the following provision for costs and resources for the implementation of the Qlikview / Qliksense tools, as well as the migration efforts which will potentially be taken up by another project depending on complexity:
IS Internal Resource (18/19): 90 days (£31,500)
External spend (18/19): £30,000

It is an objective within this project to plan for migrating any required QlikView content from the legacy server owned by GaSP, and Desktop licensed applications. It is hoped this may be simple enough to actually be performed within the project (Could do), but difficult to estimate the effort required. If not possible within this project there is a risk of delay and lack of confidence by end users. |

This Risk has been mitigated by agreeing we will meet this objective as a MUST within the overall programme. The risk will be kept open under a watching brief. |
Fund any necessary further work through the combined BI programme |
The availability of the required resource may be limited at the times required and this may negatively impact the delivery timelines of the project |

Due to the high cost of procuring Qlik there are expectations around an immediate roll out to end users. However, we have not formulated a strategy around how we wish to adopt these tools going forward, nor addressed data governance concerns, and so have removed roll out from scope. There is a risk that any significant delay to releasing the tools will undermine confidence in the BI developments. |
