Overview

Background

As a result of Accommodation Services decision to change their supplier of cashless catering to the company UinWare, there is the requirement to integrate the facilities offered by the new solution into the existing environment.

Scope

1. Provide an extract of specific fields from the University Card system to Uniware
2. Provide a mechanism for automatically transferring the file electronically to UniWare

The following activities are deemed out of scope of this project

 Provide an extract of associated University Card holders images to assist with further security recognition at the various catering outlets utilising cashless catering within the University campus

Objectives

 To enable University staff and students access to the new cashless catering application UPAY Chilli by providing the relevant details to register, through periodic electronic data feeds from the University Card system

Deliverables

This project will focus on the delivery of three specific items of functionality;

1. Provide a one-off extract of all valid University Card holders for the new cashless catering system, UPAY Chilli, supplied by UniWare.

2. Provide changes to card related data for all valid University Card holders.

3. Provide an easy access mechanism to the UniWare UPAY Chilli system through a MyEd launcher channel.

Benefits

To enable University staff and students to utilise the functionality offered by the new cashless catering service offered by Accommodation Services throughout their catering outlets across the University campus

Success Criteria

1. Production of the business requirements and associated technical design
2. A one-off data extract is produced according to the specified file layout to enable the initial set up of UPAY Chilli
3. Period changes are supplied according to the specified file layout to enable new staff / students to be registered or changed card related details applied
4. Provide the mechanism for automatically transferring change file(s) to Uniware
5. Production of the required technical documentation to enable handover to Production
6. Ensure stakeholder communication is undertaken according to the communication strategy outlined by the project
