In accordance with the University’s devolved guidance and quality assurance ethos, schools have responsibility within a set of University principles for designing and maintaining a monitoring system for their taught courses which meets their needs.
At a degree programme level, schools decide - with the agreement of the appropriate college quality assurance committee - the appropriate mechanisms for regular monitoring, review and updating of their degree programmes.
The College of Humanities and Social Science have reported success with an existing system development by the Moray House School of Education to help manage their school's course and programme monitoring process. That system cannot be scaled up to be used across all HSS Schools, so a new system development was proposed to provide a system for all schools within the college to use.
This project will deliver a set of prioritised requirements for a new college wide system and a decision on the method of implementation, the implementation being planned as a follow-on project.
