Priority and Funding
This project has no HARD milestones but it is the highest priority non-compliance work for the HRS programme. The University will need to upgrade or replace Oracle HR & Payroll by Dec 19 and if the HR Transformation work does not start now, there may not be enough time before Dec 19 to complete Business Change ahead of a necessary technical change. This would be highly undesirable and it is already widely acknowledged that the University needs to move from its current HR & Payroll business processes to Best Practice industry standard processes.
This project is initially being funded by the HRS Programme's core funded contingency until the HR Transformation project's funding has been agreed
Impact and Dependencies
The use of the Programme's core-funded contingency is being used to deliver HRS088, pending the funding being approved for the HR Transformation project. This could have a detrimental impact to the delivery and quality of the other work in the HRS Programme in 15/16, should the situation arise where the University doesn't fund the Transformation project and the other projects in the programme need to call on contingency days
