Methodology Stage

Standard Stage Sign-Off

Project Approach

Planning

Approval by Project Manager, Project Sponsor and IS Applications Management Team (WIS)

 The project will produce a product plan, associated tasks, estimates and schedule for the project.  Interdependencies with concurrent Timetabling projects will be identified and accommodated.  Project processes including risk management will be established.  Project governance will be in line with wider Timetabling programme. 

Business Analysis

Peer Project Analysis Review (PPAR)

Business analysis will focus on gap analysis - comparing the existing and new versions of Enterprise, including an understanding of the issues resolved in this version, and producing the test cases for UAT.

System Analysis & Design

Peer Project Design Review (PPDR)

Systems analysis will include an assessment of the technological changes delivered by this new version.  Options for any changes to a SQL Server desktop application will be included in this stage.

Build

Peer Project Build Review (PPBR)

This will be a sign-off to agree that the applications can be upgraded successfully in the Development Environment by following the build document.

Integration

Peer Project Integration Review (PPIR)

The integration phase will load testing of the web application.  Integration with the Reporting Database and web applications will be tested in this stage.

Acceptance

Acceptance Sign-Off Review (ASOR)

Timetabling Unit will test the applications with regards to users' business processes.

Deployment

Deployment Sign-Off Review (DSOR)

Deployment of the upgraded applications to the Live environment. 

Closure

Closure Review and Approval by Project Manager, Project Sponsor and IS Applications Management Team

 Closure report and business partner sign-off.
