The Timetabling Minimum Change Implementation Project (STU215) delivered the tools for the University of Edinburgh to operate timetabling.  At present the information supplied to and from Timetabling allows room booking, limited course planning and limited scheduling.

Extended Implementation seeks to enhance and extend the use of Timetabling to achieve the benefits sought by the University in the original benefits case for introducing a Shared Academic Timetable (https://www.wiki.ed.ac.uk/download/attachments/105054295/Timetabling_WhitepaperV2.pdf?version=1).

During planning it was identified that several large deliverables will need to be achieved in order to deliver the major project objective of Timetable Planning for 2013/14 and beyond.  This project will prodomenently deal with deliverable in support of this objective, these are:

  • Annual Roll Forward
  • Programme of Study Feed
  • MVM Room Booking Integration
  • Planning tools training

Other deliverables included in the scope of this project but not critical to operating a timetable in 2013/14 are:

  • Output for Degree Regulations and Programme of Study
  • EUCLID Course Creation and Maintenance (CCAM) changes
  • Timetab replacement
