Achievements in Last Period
- Completed UAT for strand 1 (30 users from across the University)
- Made changes in reponse to UAT feedback, improved student self-service
- Handover and deployed strand 1 (project team will be supporting software through exam period to end June)
- Analysis of pilot courses
- Document detailed SITS software issues that will necessitate workarounds for pilot and raised with Tribal
- Completed technical analysis of mark entry and started development
- Prepared full rollout plan (2015/16-2017/18) for presentation and approval CSPC steering group on 1 April
- Gathered initial requirements for Special Circumstances processing
- Completed presentations to senior staff in Schools and Colleges
- Joint breifing communication sessions with Academic Services to 110+ staff across the University
Issues
- There was a couple of minor issues with deployment that had no impact on staff or students: See issue 14 Strand 1 deployment problems
- Reconfiguration/set up required as a result of the refresh of test/implementation of infrastructure had an estimated impact of 2-3 days. See: issue 15 Infrastructure upgrade/TEST refresh impact
- Rollout schedule potentially impacts SMART: Cold Fusion 9 support ceases before decommissioning is scheduled. However, this will not be known until it is clear how the rollout will progress. PM to review at the end of 2015.
Next Steps
- Strand 2 plan and rollout to be approved by steering group, budget reviewed.
- Review likely work for 2015/16.
