Migration of 2 SQL server 2016 / C# applications.

Both applications have similar architecture and are based on the same back-end database schema design.

The RSO Contracts database is a database which stores details related to the processing of RSO Contracts. It stores metadata for each contract and associated agreement files. Each contract has a unique reference which starts with “CT-“.

Front End

The front end is accessed through a web portal using either of the recommended browsers which are FireFox and Google Chrome.

Build

The front end is a collection of webforms built with C# and the .NET Framework, specifically v4.6.1. The database front end was built using Visual Studio 2015.

Back End

The back end uses a SQL database, hosted in SQL Server 2016.

Project Estimations

Initial estimate on initiation of in-year proposal was 20d effort for RSO Contracts database only , during planning this was subsequently increased to 25d to include tasks associated with the Legal Service Archive. This estimate does not include the build of the shared infrastructure for SQL server 2016 , as this is expected to be core shared infrastructure to be shared by other future services
