PURE Upgrades delivered to Live |
The latest upgrades to the PURE application were deployed into the University's Live environment on Wednesday 5th August 2015.
This upgrade to PURE delivers the following:
- PURE version 4.21.4-1.
- Java version 1.8.
- Tomcat version 8.

Project update for w/e 10-July-2015 |
PURE version 4.21.4-1 has been signed off in the Dev environment. All "show-stopper" bugs have been resolved in this version.
A 3-stage Integration to Test is progressing, with James to check each stage before Dev Tech progresses with the next. Completed stages:
- Test restore to same versions as Live, and data cloned from Live to Test
- Test upgraded to Java 1.8 and PURE v4.20.3
James is currently on leave, and will check the v4.20.3 integration on his return next week.

Overview:
PURE LIVE was last upgraded in June 2014
This project will deploy to DEV / TEST and LIVE a new version of PURE (v4.21.3) including upgrades to Jave and Tomcat
As of 11-May 2015:
DEV is at v4.21.1 with new Java version and new Tomcat version (v8.0.20)

- Resolve issue with DEV environment so James Toon can assess the software.
- Review the remaining project milestones in light of the issues in DEV
- Obtain sign-off from all stakeholders for the brief.
- Arrange cover for next week when PM is on Annual Leave.

- Submit brief to Technology Management for sign-off - waiting on sign-off so planning milestone change has been submitted to WIS this week.
- Issue with DEV install has been assigned to Mark Lang as there is a resource conflict with TTU007 which meant Emilio has been reassigned.
- James Toon has raised a call with Atira for support with the issue with DEV.
- Atira are out of the office for the Easter weekend so will need to wait for feedback next week when they are back in the office.

- Alister remained off ill so this work was handed over to Emilio.
- Emilio experienced illness so install to DEV delayed till end of week.
- PM re-submitted brief to WIS.
- Emilio has upgraded DEV but there are issues with the install and PURE is not working in DEV
Next Week:
- Submit the brief to WIS again
- Resolve issues with the DEV install
- James Toon to carry out testing once PURE is working again in DEV

- PM has amended brief
- Dev Tech (Alister) ill so final sign-off of brief and estimate will be issued to WIS next week
- There has been some confusion over the versions of software released so upgrade to DEV environment has been delayed
- Stuart has requested the latest software for the install.

- Brief to WIS and confirmation of effort required from Alister
- Meeting to sign-off brief.
- DEV environment to be upgraded with latest version and TOMCAT upgrade.
