Project Update w/c 11-May-2015

Overview:

PURE LIVE was last upgraded in June 2014

This project will deploy to DEV / TEST and LIVE a new version of PURE (v4.21.3) including upgrades to Jave and Tomcat

As of 11-May 2015:

DEV is at v4.21.1 with new Java version and new Tomcat version (v8.0.20)

Emilio applied the Tomcat upgrade to DEV 

ACTION: Emilio to add the Tomcat upgrade steps to the RES059 Implementation Plan 

However on business user testing v4.21.1 failed testing with 2 showstoppers

These 2 showstoppers have been fixed in v4.21.3 which has now been released by Atira / Elsevier (Pure supplier)

A further issue was also picked up with the Person integration in DEV , as a result of a change to the Person model in v4.21.1 and subsequent versions.

This issue with an Employee id lookup which fails , has now  been fixed by Greg Carter in PUREINT in DEV.

This integration PUREINT fix will then need to promoted to TEST and LIVE at the same time as v4.21.3 is promoted to each environment

Next step :  Tues 12/05/15 : Ewan Scott (IS Apps Dev Tech) will apply v4.21.3 to DEV , and then pass to James Toon for business testing

As of 11-May 2015:

TEST is on PURE v4.20.3 ( with new Java version , but not newTomcat version) 

Focus is to get v4.21.3 to pass peer testing in DEV, then this candidate release will be promoted to TEST and LIVE

Note: 

Atira have recently changed their version numbering system

User who are on the old project model still use the v4 notation

Users who are on the new project model use the v5 notation

v4.21.3 maps to v5.2.3

5.1.3 is the Java version

5.2.1-2 and subsequent versions are the Tomcat versions and the new project model (pureint patch required)
