Work/Task Breakdown

  • Clone Oracle Live to Dev and Test
    • Clone Dev will not be required assuming  HRS081 continues to completion at the start of December  
    • Clone TEST

There will then be three phases

  • Phase 1 Pre-requisite TYE Oracle Patches (e.g. Roll Up Patches 7 / Family Pack )
  • Phase 2 Tax Year End and Security Patches and P60s Updates
  • Phase 3 Post Budget. This phase may not be required if no post budget changes are needed.

Each Phase will incorporate

  • Investigation into work required for this Phase and create a list of the required patches
  • Check the project requirements for the HR-Dev environment, apply patches successfully to HR-Dev, carry out all post patching checks.
  • Apply patches successfully to HR-Test, carry out all post patching checks.
  • Support Acceptance testing
  • Deploy to LIVE

Phase 2 will include the changes required to the P60 form for 14/15.

Resource Estimates and Costs

Internal

Resources and Skills; 

  • HR, Payroll and Pensions will be required to test and sign off patching in each of the three environments.  
  • IS Applications Support, IS SASG Dev and Payroll and Pensions Technical Support will review available patches and jointly agree what are to be applied.
  • IS Applications Technical Architect will be required to complete clone work and identify and apply security patches. 
  • IS USG Dev will amend the P60 form as agreed with the Payroll and Pensions Technical Support

Cost; 

  • No additional costs are expected for this project (IS Applications days are covered by Core Funding)
