Overview
Background
Each year the College replace a number of PCs within its student computer labs, teaching spaces and meeting rooms (known as facilities managed machines). The replacements are based on a 5 year lifecycle and for financial year 2018/19 the replacements are below.
Scope
Computer Labs
15 x PCs for room 7029 at the Dental Institute.
15 x PCs for room 7068 at the Dental Institute.
24 x PCs for Computer Lab 1 in the Western General Hospital.
18 x PCs for Computer Lab 2 in the Western General Hospital.
Teaching/Meeting Rooms
2 x PCs for the Borders General Hospital.
1 x PC for the BMTO Board Room.
1 x PC for the Dermatology Seminar Room.
2 x PCs for the Greenfield Suite.
1 x PC for Room G.06 in Hugh Robson Building.
3 x PCs for the Chancellor's Building.
26 x PCs for the Vet School.
17 x PCs for the Western General Hospital.
Objectives
To replace the PCs in the above areas within a timely manor and with the least amount of inconvenience to students and staff.
Deliverables
A total of 125 PCs replaced within the financial year.
Benefits
Student computer labs receive new PCs when required.
Teaching spaces and meeting rooms receive new PCs when required.
College can forecast budget spend based on age of PCs within the estate.
Success Criteria
All 125 PCs are replaced and paid for within the financial year.
