Work/Task Breakdown

The main focus of the project is the assessment of the current application tier services, leading to recommendations and policies for migrating to new infrastructure.  The assessment will involve:

1. Information gathering to establish a list of existing applications running on the current application infrastructure. 
2. Agreement of the strategy and policies for migrating to the new infrastructure.  The strategy and policies must be agreed by key stakeholder groups such as ITI Unix and ITI Architecture.
3. Confirmation of the old infrastructure that is no longer required and can be decommissioned.
4. Obtaining a clear picture of the applications by business area that need migrated and incorporated into projects for the 14/15 Annual Planning exercise.

Resources Skills and Cost

The project will require input from IS Apps (Development Services, Production Management and Project Services), as well as ITI Unix and ITI Architecture.

20 days IS Apps effort will be required.
