Overview
Background
There is a need to complete this Coldfusion upgrade for OLLBook due to the core support from Adobe for Coldfusion 9 which will end on 31/12/16, and also the Solaris license agreement for the server they reside on coming to an end on 31st July 2016. OLLBook will need to be migrated off of this server before the end of July 2016, and as such will be upgraded from Coldfusion 9 to Coldfusion 11. The applications that will be upgraded are in the order as follows:
Moving OLLBook onto improved hardware and upgrading the version of Coldfusion may lead to an increase in performance, and more easily scalable applications due to the increases in functionality the upgrade to Coldfusion 11 gives developers. Continued maintenance patches would also be released by Adobe for the time being.
Scope
- Migrate OLLBook to Coldfusion 11 infrastructure servers.
- Test the functionality of OLLBook.
