API information note to consider when required.

The API process was not required in this year's project, however the information has been provided byPayroll and Pansions Support manager to be considered when previously API's were used

Duplicate elements can be caused by the API process because that process does not require the same validation as the application process.

• There are ways of running batches that will accommodate application validation for the batches instead of using the API process
• The API process should aim to be used as little as possible and only for exceptions. So that when the API process is used, the duplicate errors process should be checked to ensure any duplicate elements are removed.
• If API's are required then Pam B requires to know in advance in case there is a way the work can be handled via HR.

Issues has been mentioned here but is more relevant to Staff Levels project
