Overview
Background
Security have installed radio repeaters and purchased Motorola GPS capable handsets in readiness for the new Radio System. This requires a VM configured to host the radio system. Currently, the Security team use a radio system hosted in the control room at 9 Infirmary Street with 75 handsets. This system will be decommissioned as part of this project, however, the handsets will be retained and used as backup radios on the new server.
Scope
This project (EST118) will design and build the server(s), Desktop(s) if required and implement TRBOnet software to enable this service.
It will also transition the system to IS Production Management Support modeled on that currently in use for the Security Incident Tracking System [Perspective]
Out of scope :
- Change to Estates processes including IT functions within Estates.
-
Business impact assessment and business change interventions, including revision to SOPs, as required, which embed the new capability into the business.
Objectives

O1 - Deliver infrastructure and software for supporting the new GPS radio handsets
O2 - Agree hosting arrangements of the server between Estates, suppliers and IS.
