Planning

• Confirm project brief with the project sponsor and the project team incorporating
  • project estimate
  • project plan
• Secure resource bookings within ASTA

System Design

• Produce updated Technical Architecture Document
• detail interface/cron/user dependancies.

Build Phase - DEV

• Prepare test script
• Confirm that the existing DEV WebCentral system is functioning as expected using the prepared test script.
• Produce Migration plan.
• Migrate DEV Webcentral to the new Infrastructure.
• Test application with database switchover.

User Acceptance - DEV

• Complete user acceptance testing to ensure that TEST WebCentral is functioning as expected
• Sign-off DEV build

Build Phase - TEST

• Confirm that the existing TEST WebCentral system is functioning as expected using the prepared test script.
• Migrate TEST Webcentral to the new Infrastructure.

User Acceptance - TEST

• Complete user acceptance testing to ensure that TEST WebCentral is functioning as expected .
• Update Operations section in TAD.
• Complete Deployment Check List.
• Complete handover to IS Applications Production.
• Sign-off User Acceptance Testing.

Deployment

• Migrate Live Webcentral to new infrastructure.
• Confirm system functioning as expected
• Sign-off deployment

Resource Estimates and Costs

Internal

 Resources wiill be required from the following teams;

• Estates and Buildings Energy Team to oversee all system testing
•  IS Development Technology to carry out migrations of all environments, update all technical documentation, overseee DR testing( and provide handover to IS Applications Production.
• IS Applications Management to assist with basic connectivity testing on all three environments and complete the Deployment check list
• IS Technical Management to oversee DR testing on Test.

External

• Need to check with external supplier re. implications (if any) of moving to Linux.
