During the month the focus has been on completing the planning phase of the project

Achievements

• The Project Brief has been completed to incorporate

  • Project plan and resourcing requested

  • Project estimate established
  • Project Milestones planned and completed in Project Website and ASTA
  • Initial fact finding meeting held
• The project brief was subsequently approved and signed-off by the project team and project sponsor at a meeting on 9th October

Issues

• As a result of the project planning phase, the project estimate has been estimated significantly higher than the original estimate generated through the annual planning phase.Having initially been defined as a small project relating to 50 days, the project has been re-estimated at 95 days.  This increase in budget has been approved by the project sponsor and programme owner.

Next Steps

• Project resourcing assigned
• Commence  Business Analysis phase
  • Review existing processes and data
  • Requirements gathering

 Having now successfully completed the planning phase of the project, the project has been assigned a RAG status of Green
