Achievements

• Demos have taken place with the project sponsor and 2 of the trades team representatives (the remaining 2 trades representatives will have a demo during August)

• Mobile technology has been reviewed and used for testing to ensure the mobile selected can accomodate all the information that the trades team will require to view/select

  • Samsong mobiles accommodate all the informatoin required. The Samsong 5 mobile was preferred to the Samsong 6 mobile

• Further system demonstrations within the Estates department have taken place with Fire Safety, Landscape and Soft Services (meeting with Furniture to follow)

• In completing the initial testing of the standard workflow process, a number of Estates related requirements have been identified and are currently being reviewed with Mass feedback is expected in early August

• Define full test script for both application and mobile devices
• Continued the preparation of the system user guides

Issues

• Although proof of concept has proved the workflow process worked all the way through, we now have to finalise and agree the additional development work required before the project can be fully acceptance tested
  • The additional requirements; internal stores, gas related work orders, risk assessment and PAT testing. Potential solutions to these items are currently being explored with Mass to determine impact, cost and timescales that will be required to deliver such functionality - expected early August

Next Steps

• Arrange system demonstration meeting to be held with Furniture
• Complete the remaining Fault Type and associated Repair Type definitions relating to the heating engineers
• Confirm plan regarding the implementation of the identified changes - expected early August
• Implement fixes to be received from Archibus
• Undertake more rigorous system testing
• Begin user acceptance testing
• Commence consultation with the Estates department business partners regarding fault reporting
• Capacity and Performance Testing to be planned during UAT
• Review project plan to reflect the remaining work in agreed timescales
• Review replan Milestone dates due to delay of starting User Acceptance Testing

Now that the project is moving towards Accceptance Testing, the project has been assigned an overall RAG status of Green
