Work/Task Breakdown

• Create private network for BEMS
• Determine the migration strategy, by determining if the server can be configured to be dual homed.  This would mean that the server would in effect have two IP addresses to communicate with the outstations
• Configure one of the outstations to the existing IP address of the test system  and monitor the data to ensure all is working as expected
• Create a new IP address for the Test Server
• Configure the outstation to the new IP address of the test system  and monitor the data to ensure all is working as expected
• If this process is successful, this would enable the outstations to be reconfigured in a controlled manner and enable the server to collate all information from the various outstations via the one server
• Undertake a DR test and subsequent rollback to primary server and ensure that system is working as expected
• Arrange for all outstations to be reconfigured to the new IP address
• Complete a live DR test and subsequent rollback to primary server after all outstations have been configured
