Priority and Funding

Ths is a compliance project and requires to be undertaken in good time to ensure that the existing service can be retired before April 2017.

This project is funded with IS Roadmap capital funding.

Impact and Dependencies

The existing infrastructure plays a critical part in the delivery of many high profile services such as Learn and the Univesity Website. Whilst this project does not include the actual migration of the existing service configuration to the newly procured hardware platform, the procurement needs to be mindful of the cost of migration from the existing service to the new one. This cost should include both the staff effort involved and the cost to the business of any disruption to service that the migration process may entail.
