Overview

Background

This project will support delivery of APIs by delivering requirements / user stories to inform designs of individual APIs. 

There will likely be follow-on business analysis projects which will produce requirements for other projects which in turn will augment the existing Enterprise APIs service with new APIs.

Scope

This project will support delivery of APIs.

Out of scope:

1. Requirements / user stories for additional APIs that cannot be delivered within the agreed project budget
2. Security analysis - this will be undertaken within the API Technology project DTI014
3. Designs of APIs - this will be undertaken within the individual API projects
4. Analysis and specifications of requirements for future enhancements to APIs will be delivered outwith this project

Objectives

To support delivery of APIs by delivering requirements / user stories to inform the designs of the individual APIs.

Deliverables

The project will deliver the following:

1. Analysis of requirements for each business area / API [must]
2. Specification of requirements / user stories for each business area / API [must]
3. Analysis and documentation of how each API interacts with the University's wider IT systems [should]
4. Analysis of API designs against enterprise architecture principles [should]
5. Specification of change requests [must]
6. Technical Analysis - Proof of Concept for StuTalk [must]
