Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

Overall Programme RAG: GREEN

The programme has a large number of ('Apps') projects reflecting the activity and expectations being generated in the TEL area. Several projects have moved back to Green this month, as they replanned after resolving resource conlficts and technical issues.

In terms of budget, some days need to be found for projects carrying over unplanned into 2015/16, but there is no great concern as we laready have 25 days planned to carry over.

There is sufficent budget available for an early start for 15/16 Moodle Data Feeds. A PM is not immediately available, but a developer wil be starting on design ideas.

Achievements in the Last Period

  • The last period has been a busy one for the TEL018 project.  Firstly we have had our consultancy day with QMP on the 15th of June.  The general consensus at the time was that this went well and we had no major show stoppers.  Once we started to test the system we discovered several snags including some which were directly the result of QMP misdirection.  We also had some issues around access across differing areas of the campus and a potential issue with system speed.  I'm pleased to say all these issues have been resolved and other one small permission issue with transcript reports..
  • The project team have worked together very closely over the last period and their effort in this busy time is to be commended.  Particularly the effort from the business who are under severe time pressure due to the later delivery of this project conflicting with others.
  • We are on schedule to delivery the mandatory elements of the project as per the current plan.
  • The LIVE servers have already been provisioned and setup ready for the upgrade.

Issues

  • There is an issue with server permissions when running transcript reports.  It has been investigated and although the issue may have been resolved it should be noted here as at this moment the resolution has not been confirmed.

Next Steps

  • We proceed with Load Testing, resilience testing and our UAT.
  • We will then deploy late in the next period.

The project team have approved the sign-off as regard to UAT, Capacity Testing and readiness to go live with Top Hat as a new service on 2nd July.

This is a soft launch, with only limited user in July anticipated.

  • the SSO for the iOS and Andriod applications
  • following up on the rooms regarded at risk by Chris Adie for insuffcient capacity (four rooms)
  • checking that NHS staff can access Top Hat
  • further trainings and show-n-tell roadshows, especially for MVM

The new milestones, risks and issues reflect this.

  • SSO for applications from TopHat pending in July needs checked
  • follow up on the rooms identified as at risk for insufficient capacity
