Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

Overall Programme RAG: GREEN

The programme has a large number of ('Apps') projects reflecting the activity and expectations being generated in the TEL area. Amongst its challenges and opportunites, there is the new LTW division and changes in the way of working and relationships with rest of IS which that will bring. So an exciting time.

All projects now back to Green, but we have concerns that we have several projects all now delivering at the same time in June and July. However, at this point we keep the status as Green as the project managers and LTW are committing to closures as stated.

The programme has 60 days for contingency and to - hopefully - start the 15/16 data feeds for moodle project.

Achievements in the Last Period

  • The team has been working on an agreed infrastructure with QMP.  This has been completed to our satisfaction and we are now progressing with the planned consultancy work to assist us with the TEST environment upgrade.
  • The project team have agreed to the extended work necessary for this new infrastructure.  This will include an updated TAD, plus DR and Load testing.  We will also produce a scalability document to show that this infrastructure can be extended in terms of its performance as the QMP user base expands.

Issues

  • We do have an issue against time, however we have resolved our infrastructure issues and can now progress unhindered.

Nest Steps

  • The project milestones are being re-planned and will be submitted for governance on the 07th of May.
  • Update the TEST environment to v5.7 and test the system.
  • Analyse our budget and time to determine our ability to complete the desirable work.
