Achievements in Last Period

The PM and developer met with the business lead to review the issues raised during further UAT.  Bugs preventing correct operation of the current functionality were fixed and returned for further testing.

Issues

- Synchronisation with Outlook is failing on the business's new PCs.  The PM and developer have recommended that the MVM CO's investigate this problem.  This is noted in https://www.projects.ed.ac.uk/project/mvm005/issues/14

- The business lead has not been able to test the latest fixes in the agreed time and so the milestones will need to be revised.  This is noted in https://www.projects.ed.ac.uk/project/mvm005/issues/13, although the date noted in that issue has also been missed.

- The business have requested further changes but there is  no agreement in place for funding further work.    This is noted in https://www.projects.ed.ac.uk/project/mvm005/issues/13.

- The budget has been exceeded by a couple of days.

RAG status set to RED because milestones & budget need to be agreed, along with resolution of request for further work.

Next Steps 

- Await outcome of testing the latest fixes.

- Await outcome of CO investigation of synchronisation problem.

- Discuss options for further work.

RAG Change Status is Red as the current milestones for acceptance and delivery needs to be replanned, as the project scope has changed to include a pilot of the process and documents. This is at the spnsor's request, helping to make the deliverables of highest quality. It is likely that new dates will slip by more than a month - expecting confirmation from piloting team of dates by 9th Novm,ber.

• First pass of requirements for ITT reviewed with Project Sponsor / Business Lead.
• Draft procurement strategy produced and reviewed with Project Sponsor / Business Lead.
• Project Board convened for November.
• PIN issued; questions sent to PIN respondents in order to set up potential visits prior to formal procurement.

Issues

• No major issues.
• Earliest opportunity for Project Board is Mid-November, so likely that end of planning will be delayed given that the board needs to agree project governance, budget, timeline and plan, however the team is proceeding with the requirements for the ITT on the basis that (with Board approval) this can be issued quickly following agreement on the above.
• Funding, project resourcing, and timeline to be covered with Project Board.
