Achievements this Period

A meeting on the CF10 / Oracle 12.2 support with Production Management, Development Technology was held. There is one feasible options provided by Production is that we could create a separate environment for CF10 running on Oracle 11g.

Issues

Upgrading to CF11 is too big and out of scope of this project. The project would need to be suspended until any upgrade is planned in another project and completed.
Lowering the “SQLNET.ORA” to “ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION_SERVER = 8” has been discounted as an option. This would affect all applications on the server, and also moving forward it would not be as simple as raising it again as all applications would need to be tested.
APPS migrations would be affected by this issue.
Project is currently 50 days over budget, and this will increase as GEN needs to be fully resourced when the CF / Oracle issue is resolved.

Next Steps

Pm to get an agreement on a viable option for the CF10 / Oracle 12.2 issue that is suitable for everyone. Currently this looks to be creating a separate environment to host CF10 applications running on Oracle 11g.
Meeting to be scheduled W/C 16th October as a number of the project team are on annual leave until then.

RAG Commentary: Issue. Cannot proceed to TEST as ColdFusion 10 is unsupported by Oracle 12.2 and the migration causes errors. PM to arrange a meeting to discuss the options we have, one of which is to put all CF10 applications onto their own CF10 / Oracle 11g environment.
