MyEd Upgrade planning complete

IS Applications have finished planning a new project to upgrade the MyEd portal.

The project will be delivered in two phases. Phase 1 will upgrade the hardware infrastructure on DEV, TEST and LIVE. Phase 2 will upgrade the uPortal software introducing a new responsive theme to improve the user experience. It is expected that the updated MyEd will allow users to access their content much more easily on mobile devices.

The upgrade is expected to go LIVE before start of the second semester of 2016/17. After that, the project will investigate and implement quick wins to improve the transition between centrally hosted websites and MyEd. The overarching objective is to improve the user experience when moving between these two core systems.
