Upgrade to MyEd Portal - 28th May 2014

The MyEd portal is about to undergo a significant upgrade to its core platform.  The planned deployment date is 28th May 2014.  

The project team have been communicating with IS colleagues and other MyEd channel owners, and will soon be informing broader stakeholders university-wide about the upgrade. The main improvements from this upgrade are:

• uPortal version upgrade 3.2.4 to 4.0.1
• New look & feel, inspired by the University website
• New tab layouts, based on user research
• Integration with Office365 email and calendars
• Improved customisation features, including "subscribable tabs"

The changes to tab layout mean all existing user customisations will be lost.
